Police in Suna West Sub County have launched an investigation into the death of a 26 year old woman who died after allegedly being beaten to death by her husband after domestic squabbles in Nyamanga village Suna west Sub County last night.
According to the area Chief Barack Ogaja, the deceased,Faith Grace Anyango, was allegedly beaten to death by the accused husband, Walter Otieno last night.
While speaking to Dala fm over the matter, chief Ogaja said that the accused was drunk by the time of the incident when he started the squabbles beating both the two wives before killing the said first wife who was five months pregnant before running away.
The family members of the deceased said that they received a report from the accused husband who called them that they had issues last night before the deceased fainted and was rushed to the hospital where they found her lifeless body with numerous injuries at Migori referral hospital mortuary.
They condemned the incident demanding the police to come out and conduct thorough investigation to ascertain what could have led to the death of their kin and proper action taken against the perpetrator saying the circumstances under the death of their kin in questionable.
Chief Ogaja has however said that they have launched an investigation into the matter, saying the accused is still at large however appealing to the residents to always seek for dialogue in case they have any miss understanding as a family in a bid to avert such kind of dreadful incidences.
